Awards Powered by
Measurement, Not Marketing

Recognising measured excellence in Customer, Employee and Patient Experience. Powered by the Experience Excellence Index, developed by ICXI.

A Different Standard

Recognition Based on Evidence, Not Narratives

Most awards rely on written submissions, panel judging and marketing narratives. The Global Experience Excellence Awards are different. Recognition is based on structured benchmarking performance through the Experience Excellence Index.

  • No Written Submissions

  • No Judging Panels

  • No Entry Essays

  • Excellence is measured, validated and recognised

Entry Pathways

Two Pathways to the EEI Awards

Whether you enter through the full EEI Assessment or through your existing BSI certification, every Awards entrant is measured on the same maturity framework.

Pathway 1

Direct EEI Assessment

For any organisation worldwide

Complete the full Experience Excellence Index assessment across your chosen discipline — CX, EX, DCX or PX. Open to all organisations regardless of certification status.

  • Register for EEI Assessment (CX, EX, DCX or PX)

  • Complete 120-question maturity diagnostic

  • Receive your EEI maturity score (0–100)

  • Qualify for Awards based on performance tier

1

Pathway 2 – NEW

BSI Certification Pathway

For BSI-certified ICXI standards organisations

Already hold BSI certification against an ICXI standard? Your certification score counts. Complete the condensed Maturity Uplift to qualify.

  • Verify BSI certification (ICXS, IEHWS, IDCXS or IPEXS)

  • BSI score imported as baseline (50–60% weight)

  • Complete Maturity Uplift assessment (gaps only)

  • Combined score determines Awards tier

BSI Certification Pathway

From BSI Certification to Awards Recognition

If your organisation holds current BSI certification against an ICXI standard, you automatically qualify for the EEI Awards through the Maturity Uplift Assessment. Your BSI score is imported directly — the uplift only tests what BSI doesn’t already cover.

Weighting: BSI 60% | Uplift 40%

How the BSI Pathway Works

01

BSI Certification Verified

Your current BSI certification against ICXS, IEHWS, IDCXS or IPEXS is verified directly with BSI. Your certification score becomes the baseline.

02

Maturity Uplift Assigned

You receive the pathway-specific Maturity Uplift assessment, testing only the EEI dimensions your standard doesn’t already cover.

03

Uplift Conducted

An ICXI-accredited EEI Assessor conducts the uplift using the Reactive → Aware → Structured → Proactive maturity scale.

04

Combined Score

BSI score is converted to EEI-equivalent points. Uplift score is added. The combined score determines your Awards tier.

05

Awards Qualification

Your combined EEI score qualifies you for Gold, Silver, Bronze, or Foundation recognition at the annual ceremony.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

The BSI Certification Pathway allows organisations that already hold BSI certification against an ICXI standard (ICXS, IEHWS or IPEXS) to enter the Awards without completing the full EEI assessment. Your BSI certification score is imported as a baseline, and you complete only the Maturity Uplift — a condensed assessment covering the dimensions BSI doesn’t already measure. The combined score determines your Awards tier.

The Maturity Uplift is a targeted assessment that measures the experience dimensions not covered by BSI certification — including emotional engagement, AI governance, digital trust, effort reduction, sustainability, and experience innovation. It uses the same Reactive → Aware → Structured → Proactive maturity scale as the full EEI. The number of questions varies by pathway: 60 for CX, 60 for EX, and 48 for PX.

Your BSI certification score is converted to EEI-equivalent points and combined with your Maturity Uplift score. The weighting depends on the pathway: CX and EX use a 50/50 split between BSI and Uplift scores, while PX uses a 60/40 split (BSI 60%, Uplift 40%) reflecting the broader scope of the IPEXS standard. The combined score places you in a Gold (85%+), Silver (70–84%), Bronze (55–69%), or Foundation (40–54%) tier.

No. BSI certification is one of two entry pathways. Any organisation worldwide can enter through Pathway 1 — the Direct EEI Assessment — which involves completing the full 120-question maturity diagnostic. BSI certification simply provides an accelerated route through Pathway 2.

The Maturity Uplift is conducted by an ICXI-accredited EEI Assessor. These are trained professionals who have completed the ICXI assessor accreditation programme and are licensed to conduct Experience Excellence Index assessments across CX, EX and PX disciplines.

Awards recognition is valid for one annual cycle. Organisations are encouraged to reassess annually to maintain their recognition status and demonstrate continuous improvement in experience excellence. Gold tier organisations are featured in the annual global benchmarking publication.
